GLORIA MENEGAZ Associate Professor, Faculty of Mathematical, Physical and Natural Sciences, Dept. of Computing, University of Verona (Italy) since October 2007. My current research activity is in the field of perceptual imaging. The basic idea consists in investigating human perception for establishing associated computational models that can be generalized and exploited for designing a novel human-centered approach to information processing. Among  the many possible applications I am particularly interested in medical imaging (segmentation, compression), multi-sensory information processing (with focus on vision and touch),  color  vision and categorization (color naming) and  fully automatic modeling of static and dynamic textures.
