Chiara Mocenni is assistant professor at the Dipartimento di Ingegneria dell'Informazione (DII) of the University of Siena. She teaches Complex Dynamical Systems, Environmental Systems Modeling and Decision Analysis at the Faculty of Engineering
of the University of Siena.
She received her Laurea Degree in
Mathematics from the University of Siena in 1992's. Before joining the Systems and Control Group at DII in 1998 as Research Associate, Chiara Mocenni received the PhD in Physical Chemistry, with a PhD thesis on mathematical modeling of ecological systems.
From the 2000's until its deactivation on 2012, she has been fellow of the Centro per lo Studio dei Sistemi Complessi (CSC) of the University of Siena and served on its Board of Directors.
Since 2005 Chiara Mocenni coordinates the research group on Complex Systems and Environmental Modeling of the DIISM.
Main research interests are: Complex Systems, Mathematical Modeling and Identification of Dynamical Systems, Spatio-temporal Time Series Analysis, Systems Biology, Modeling of Environmental Systems, Qualitative and Bifurcation Analysis, Decision Support
Systems and Behavioral Models.
